LEVEL 1: FOUNDATION (Beginner → 1000)

Goal: Correct thinking habits + tactical awareness

Core Skills

  • Piece activity & coordination

  • Basic tactics (patterns, not tricks)

  • King safety fundamentals

  • Endgame basics

Curriculum

Tactics (40%)

  • Pins, forks, skewers

  • Discovered attacks

  • Basic mating patterns (smothered, back rank, ladder)

Openings (20%)

  • Opening principles (NOT memorization)

  • Develop → Castle → Connect rooks

  • Simple systems (Italian, London, Scandinavian)

Endgames (25%)

  • King + pawn vs king

  • Opposition

  • Basic rook endings (Lucena concept intro)

Thinking Process (15%)

  • Blunder check

  • Candidate moves

  • “What does my opponent want?”

LEVEL 2: CLUB PLAYER (1000 → 1600)

Goal: Tactical sharpness + positional understanding
